The golden mean, also known as the golden ratio, divine proportion, or golden section, is a number approximately equal to 1.618.  We find the golden mean when we divide a line into 2 parts so that the long part divided by the short part is also equal to the whole length divided by the long part.

The Golden Mean is found in countless examples in nature, from the spiral of a shell to the proportions of the human body.  Artists and architects also use the Golden Mean in their creations as they consider it pleasing to the eye.

Assignment:  Your task is to go out into nature and find an example of the Golden Mean, then replicate it as best as possible.  Use precision and shading skills.
